Natural History Museum

‘Volcanoes and earthquakes’ is one of the Museum’s key galleries. It begins the visitor route through the ‘Earth galleries’ and forms an important part of the museum’s educational offer.

The narrative explores human stories and the work of scientists as well as emphasising the power and consequences of these natural events.

The overall spacial design was inspired by rock strata and tectonic plate movement. The resulting intervention housed integrated graphics, digital and physical interactives as well as showcased and open display objects to guide the visitor through the storyline.
