Celebrating Peterborough’s rich Roman history this exhibition showcases some of the important objects in the museum’s collection whilst bringing to life the characters who lived and worked in Durobrivae, the Roman garrison town. We opened up the floor area to create a lighter, more accessible space and implemented a strong colour palette, complementing the previously redeveloped galleries.
By restructuring we immediately created a more engaging and inviting environment, promoting interaction and visitor flow. The scheme included an introductory animation created in-house at Designmap, Roman artefact displays, and a series of hands-on interactives.
